Nicholas J. Enoch is the President of Lubin, Enoch & Bustamante, P.C., a law firm that he joined as an associate attorney after graduating from law school in 1995. Mr. Enoch’s practice focuses on the representation of labor unions and he routinely appears before arbitrators as well as all courts and administrative agencies in matters arising under traditional (e.g., National Labor Relations Act, Railway Labor Act, Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act) and non-traditional labor and employment law. Mr. Enoch frequently advises and represents clients in the areas of discrimination, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour litigation. In addition to a traditional labor side practice, Mr. Enoch has an active utility regulation practice and he provides pro bono legal assistance to clients through the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project.
Mr. Enoch’s law firm is listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and he achieved an “AV” rating after only eight years. In recent years, he has also been selected for inclusion in a variety of publications including, Best Lawyers in America and Southwest Super Lawyers magazines, in the area of Employment and Labor Law. He was also named as one of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers and Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year for 2016 in the area of Employment Law – Individuals in Phoenix and Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year for 2021 in the area of Labor Law – Union in Phoenix. Mr. Enoch was elected a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers in June 2024.
In addition to a number of other legal and civic organizations that he supports and in which he is involved, Mr. Enoch previously served on the Executive Council, including as the Chair in 2018-2019, for the 550-member Employment and Labor Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona. In 2022, Mr. Enoch was awarded the Rogers/Hayden Outstanding Achievement (a/k/a Lawyer of the Year) Award by the Employment and Labor Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona. Presently, Mr. Enoch is a member of the Executive Council for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Arizona and he serves as the Chair of the Civil Jury Instruction Subcommittee for Employment Law Jury Instructions.
Mr. Enoch is also on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Labor and Employment Relations Association and served as its President in 2012-2013 and from 2018 to present. From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Enoch served on the Board of Directors of the AFL-CIO Lawyers’ Coordinating Committee, a national membership organization of over 2,100 union-side lawyers in more than 500 firms and union legal departments around the country. The LCC (now known as the Union Lawyers Alliance) facilitates the exchange of information and strategies, mobilizes union-side lawyers in labor movement programs, provides legal education and networking opportunities, and assists LCC members in recruiting and retaining new lawyers and lawyers of color.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Enoch served as lecturer for the Pennsylvania State University’s School of Labor Studies and Employment Relations. From 2010 to 2023, he taught Labor & Employment Law (LER 501) and Labor Law (LER 401), the second of which he personally authored, through its online World Campus.
From 2008 until 2022, he served as a Judge Pro Tempore with the Maricopa County Superior Court and he currently serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association.
